What is the best way to install steel rivets without a rivet gun?
I know I can always hold a steel block on the head and mash the other end with a hammer, but that's a lil awkward. Would a strong C Clamp do the trick? I just knew I shoulda stole a rivet gun when I left the Navy!

It's impossible, run out to Home Depot and buy TWO, that way you have a spare when you misplace one... Just don't misplace them both, that will drive you nuts.

Check with one of your local auto parts stores that does free tool rental (like Auto Zone, aka Auto Useless). I know many sell them, but I don't know if that's one of the things they rent or not.
