Good for you Clayton, that sounds like a blast! Just heading up to our cabin as I type this to get it opened for another season. Last report we got from up there just over a week ago was that there was still 30" of ice on "our" lake. Only 4 more weeks from tomorrow and bass season will finally be open again here! |

CamG-this was at Melvern Lake, KS. It's less than an hour from my house and it has state record size smallmouth in it and is loaded with 2-3 pounders so it's a blast to fish. Dean-I've seen pictures of guys getting their ice augers ready for opening day of bass season, I couldn't do it. Hopefully it will turn around for you soon. Joe-it was jerkbaits or nothing, bone color was the deal all day. 2 jerks, reel done, repeat. Some were really hitting it hard but some were just there when I went to move it. I had one monster follow the bait for the entire retrieve all the way to the boat and just barely pushed it next to the boat but didn't get the hooks. |
