Fished this morning in the pouring rain, between the sound of rain pounding the water, the poor little bilge pump running practically non-stop in a futile effort to keep up with the rain and the sound of my heartbeat throbbing in my ears I could barely hear myself think. Caught a couple dozen like below. They were hitting weightless Tricks and Senkos so hard that the only way to keep them from swallowing past the hook on the first tap was to figure out how to set the hook right BEFORE they tapped it
, pretty tough to do on a clear day much less in a downpour.![]() ![]() I hate killing fish accidentally and I think I managed to save most of them but I suppose some collateral damage is inevitable.
