July no wait August 1st Report
This cool weather has me all corn fused. Wish it was 100 degrees.
Ok this trip was full of promise as the first cast yielded a nice Potomac Pike. Why no pic? Well the whole explosive hit and drag running first run was too much for the little hooks and they bent out. Encouraged by that we landed on a fly a nice chunk of a pesky LGMouth. After that a few smaller buck LGMouth ate our lures. Then a cold rain and humidity dropped. After that we landed many bluegill, yellow perch and a slab crappie. Missed several good hits at golden hour and called it an evening. Strange how a cold rain can affect primary targets. This guiding thing after 22 years still makes me wonder how mother nature affects fish. But I like a challenge and will try again shortly. Capt Mike
