Going to be fishing a Bass tourny this weekend, UTE Lake in New Mexico, any ideas for catching a nice bass. Caught a 8.5 lber on spinner bait last weekend, 6/10/06 at Lake Alan Henry in Texas.

Welcome to the forum!
Having never heard of that lake could you give some specifics? Depth, water color, cover, etc. would be real helpful. Good job on the AH bass!

well, fished Ute Lake...Nice water, many murky areas as well as clear areas across the lake. Caught a 2.31 lb, 17 inch black bass on Saturday, had a couple of good bits but that's all I caught. Won biggest bass for that day...
