NEW pond help

there is this pond down the street, and i tought it was a private pond, but it isnt.so i tried fishing there like 5 or 6 times and got nothing. it is really really dark. you cant see down after about 2 or 3 inches. i had one bite on a spinner bait. i kept trying that, but it wasnt working again. i saw a few fish, fly out of the water like almost a foot.i tried a popper but they wouldnt hit it. i tried spinnerbaits, senkos, poppers,swim baits, and i think that is it. it is about 50- 60 yars long, and about the same width. there is some fallend trees, and bushes. what should i throw in. ideas.
