Just got out of the boat and had been anticpating a big day on the water, the barometer FINALLY started falling due to a major front comming, its supposed to snow flurry friday, so i knew once it clouded up today would be good fishing....... WRONG.rofl
Even with the storm clouds overhead, I went out on my johnboat and abouit 20 minutes into it, a nice 3 pounder literally stopped my manns minus one, the same lure last week I lost 1/3 of its paint job,(peel right off) got the fish to the boat and played it out, went about 16 inches and fat! Worked the same shoreline and got one dink, but that was it...tried the senko on some fallen trees, and also the rattletrap, one snapped at it but missed. I took some time out to crappie fish, cus I want some fillets, but the trees I worked didn't have much action, so once the "clock in the stomach" hit, I figured it was time to load up and get some burgers on the grill goin. Air temp was 72, water temp was 65, some redness to the water I guess due to hydrilla dying off somewhat. |
