Zook, sorry for the cut short phone call. Im working a 48 hour shift and forgot my cell charger. My wife brought it up to me about 9pm. Ill be fully charged tom. if you need to get a hold of me. Still 50/50 about being able to make it. My lil one has a surgery next month to remove a tumor in her ear. (non cancerous but growing) So money is becoming tight, still gonna try one way or another.

It may be, I think the quarry is in the land between the lakes, I'll probably stick to big bear, duncan, and smiths coves and jonathen

Just wanted to follow up on the Sat. nite Fish Fry @ Big Bear Resort. I was thinking everyone could bring a dish and/or supplies. We'll need Paper plates & towels, Dixie Cups for Homemade ice cream and drinks, plastic forks & spoons, cooking oil 2- 1/2 gallons, 2 gal. whole milk, 2 pts half & half, doz eggs, 2 pts strawberries, choc syrup, 1 lb sugar, baked beans and 10 lbs of potatoes.
Menu: Fried Fish (whatever fish we all catch) Homemade french fries Baked Beans Hush puppies Homemade Vanilla, Strawberry & Choc. Ice Cream How does that sound? Let us know what each of you are fixing and or bringing. Of course everybody is on their own during the day. All Bama needs is his frozen Reese Cups. I'm also going to cook Biscuits and sausage gravy Sunday am for those of you who want to visit before heading home. |

I was under the impression that we were waiting till Saturday for the fish fry, to give us 2 days to find the fish. It'd be embarrassing for Lisa to have the grease hot and ready Friday night, and all us poor suckers straggle in with no fish to throw into it...
That being said, I'll volunteer to bring cornbread, and the plasticware, for whichever night we decide.

I had a client in the clinic this morning and he was telling me "fish in the bushes by the bunches" Alot of them are smaller size at this point. The temp this weekend was 58 degrees air temp and raining. So lake temps should not have jumped any. I have not seen any of the internet reports at this point today, but it will be interesting to see what the stren series does this weekend.

I just looked on the flw website. They are suppose to show the weigh in Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the this week on flw live through their website. It will be interesting. I think the weather is suppose to be questionable until Saturday.
In the next 6 weeks, Kentucky lake has a Stren series, FLW tour event, and BASS Elite, and the biggest of them all.....bass fishin.com event. There will be a lot of fishing pressure when it is all said and done! |

What's the best paper map(s) for navigation/topo for Kentucky Lake and any particular sources online to buy from? Thanks! |

There is actually a custom type map available here, I might be up for splitting some of the costs.
