I'd forgotten to look till just now...The FLW Stren series had their tournament at Kentucky Lake this past weekend. Check it out, there's a couple articles on their front page that give a little info about who caught what using what.

Woohoo. Woody, thanks for the offer of a ride, but my truck is supposed to be out of the shop on Friday. Which means I can pull my Avalanche down on Saturday morning. I'll have to go through this thread to find out where everyone is camping/lodging/launching. I can't wait to meet everyone.

Question...since I will most likely be showing up very early Saturday morning, maybe even before any bait shops open up, anyone know if I can drive across the river to Henderson on Thursday or Friday and pick up a 1-day license for Saturday? Or can you only get a 1-day non-resident license ($10) for the day you buy it? I'm not sure if I will make it to KY Lake 5 times this year to justify a full year's nonresident license ($50). Hate to sound like a tight-wad, but given a choice, I would rather feed the monkey than the government.

Yes, you can...tell them the day you want it to be good for, and they'll put that date on the license.

Man I can't wait! I found out today I'll be missing two test and two quizes and our one day in school to work on a spanish project, but it'll be worth it!

We'll be leaving tomarrow morning around 4:00am. I'll have to go to bed earlier than midnight tonight, that is if I can sleep at all.

I just heard from a guy in Paducah who claims some areas got 4 inches of rain, better bring a rainsuit!

pretty good chance of rain everyday we are gonna be there. a lady from big bear called today and told us that our campsite was underwater so she moved us and jb to different sites. she also said that they are advising people not to use their ramp but there is a public one next to the resort that is useable. mother nature is really starting to piss me off.

Their ramp at the marina , unless its changed, is a joke! you swing around a five car parking lost and launch down a ramp that is steep at heck and only about as long as the trailer. Then you go back out of big bear and hang a left on the road and the parking and state ramp are just a hundred feet down the road. If you have bad brakes dont use the marina ramp lol
the state ramp is an old parking lot with one or two lanes that are long and about 45 degree angle to the lake, pretty easy to launch, just kinda sucks that you have to pay for trailer storage...but in our campground has its own launch ramp, so no worries about that..c rig what number we in now ?

I would get my permit online so that it is a done deal and you won't have to mess with it Saturday morning.

I leave for pickwick lake in the morning, we are gonna camp halfway there then friday come on up during the day. Boat is hooked to the truck, stuff is pretty much a go.
