Check out these, they are my first two I've ever made.....
The first one is pine, and was made w/ the help of my dad, using the band saw. The second one is balsa and I hand made and shaped it using nothing but a dremel and sandpaper.

Nice looking. Those painted by brush, or just some of the detail?

Thanks guys, I can't tell you how many times I re-painted the jerk bait to get it the way I wanted. The gill detail on the blue, black one was with a sharpie then covered with epoxy and the gill detail on the jerk bait was done with a brush. The eyes were made with the end of the paint brush by dipping it in the paint and the iris of the eye was made by dipping the sharpened end of a pencil into the paint. The scale pattern on both was done by spraying over a masking material with the airbrush. I tried to mimic a bait fish we have out here called a "HITCH". I don't know if I got it right but next weekend I'll be fishing Clear Lake and we'll find out.
