WTL if I'd try to kneel I'd fall over face first. Even though I had tons of practice on sundays I'm too old now. Too hard to get back up. Now if they put a pew in my boat...

I only have a four foot wide jon boat which is not the most stable so i sit on padded seat mounted on an 11 inch pedestal which helps keep my legs stretched out so i can stay comfortable.

Stand until the back starts to hurt, then up and down. Definitely sit in rough water. Especially in the winter.

I stand 100% of the time. I can't stand to sit down and fish, I just don't feel comfortable and my fishing suffers.

Stand all the time, have knelt before to get in some tight spots where you can't even flip to due to over head cover.
I don't blame guys that sit tho lol |

Only for those rare moments when a big one breaks me off or comes unbuttoned. You know, on the knees, fists raised to the sky, screaming "Oh, Sweet Jesus, WHY!?!?!?"
I usually sit, reasons being A: I have a small front deck, and B: I have a hand-controlled trolling motor. The seat leaves little room to stand, and if I take the seat out, the base is a foot-long aluminum rod I have to pretty much straddle. I don't like that very much.

All I do is shore fishing but it varies depending on how I feel and where I am... if I am just there to toss a line in, I will grab a chair... otherwise I tend to stand most of the time since my full time job involved sitting the whole time.

90% of the time I sit. I only stand when I'm flipping. I'm a lazy old coot with a bad back.

Due to the fact that I rarely fish from a boat, though I do own one, I'm usually standing. When in the boat, I'm usually sitting in the front or the center seat. However, I'd like to replace the front seat with a taller pedestal seat, or at least a seat that I can raise to lean against while standing, and lower when moving or trolling, if such a seat pedestal exists. Haven't really done much research. Any ideas on that?

I like to stand but I also have a bad back. After reading reports of using a tub to recess the tm control level with the deck.that this would help with the back pain. You know it does work.Your hips are level and most of the pain is gone. With a little snort of the sweet stuff and a pipe full good bacca I can last quite a long time before I have to sit. Just my 1/2 ounce worth.

Tried both, and I prefer standing much better. Most of the time I lean against the butt seat. Helps me keep my balance when operating the TM since I'm still not real good at it yet.

I stand, except I need a butt seat to be able to runn the trolling motor if the water is choppy. I do have to sit for about 30 minutes out of every three hours cause my feet get really cramped up.

80/20 sitting/standing for me. Usually have a butt seat, where u just lean on it instead of actually sitting. Most of the time around here I am pitching and flipping so its kind of hard to do sitting.

I fish out of a jon boat and pretty much always stand. We're converting it by adding decks and pedestal seats, so we'll see if anything changes this year.

Primarily stand, but do have a leaning post if it's windy and rough.

Unless I'm crappie fishin, I'm a standing angler 99.9% of the time.
