I am still playing with my different rods to see which one works better for the jigs and lipless cranks...

Ditto what solidbad said. I like 12-20 lb test on big traps but it is important to downsize to 10 lb or smaller for the 1/4 oz. traps. the line diameter helps control the depth of the lure on the retrieve.
