make sure you are using a big enough hook.3-5/0 is good...worm hook

When weighting the nose, he pegged a medium sized bullet weight touching the nose of the fluke.

Lizards how very true.... I always said there are two bites, a hunger bite, where the bass feeds out of opportunity, and hunger, and the second is a purely primal reaction strike. Most of the time for me the best presentation/tactic is slow and steady, but oddly enough, on slow days, for some unknown reason runnin and gunnin gets them worked up into a frenzy!!
