Cmorg I fish in Indiana an can say it all depends on the lake and lake pressure. I allways try and find some type of bird or wildlife. I have cought many bass pitchin an jig were i saw an turttle come up for air, most of the time there is an stump that you couldnt see. In the spring find the shallow water at the north east part of the lake it should be protected from wind and will get the most warm sun light. In the summer find the deeper structure , rocky points, deep boatdocks, tree lines, ect. fall just find the wind and bait in the shallow water. also you know how small the lakes are and how much pressure they get so if you see some one working an spot for an good bit of time when they leave go to it and look with your depth finder and find out why. And always trust youre self if you see an spot that just calls your name than fish it and do what your good at and have fun.

Not really anything , I was just curious if you ever fished dogwood lake , or west boggs creek ? Those lakes are about 15 minutes from me.

Bays and cuts with small streams feeding them hold more fish than those without. Lily pad beds with uneven bottoms hold more fish than smooth bottomed beds. Be sure to fish the areas where other weeds begin to mix with pads creating edges in the beds.

Funny, I had great success using a technique I love on three lakes I had in fact never fished more then once or twice. All times the locals and pre fisherman for the tournement said the bite was non existant for them, how is that.
