1/4 oz. black terminator buzzbait is my go to.
Then a pop-r. I am just starting to get pretty good with the Spook. i always start with the buzzbait first. If I see a lot of baitfish, I really like the Pop R, though sometimes they will hit it even when there is no visible baitfish action. |

I keep hearing about Heddon's torpedos catching some fish. I may just have to go get one. What colors have you guys been successful with? I fihs mainly clear to semit clear water and during the day most of the time. Some of the reviews state that the thread screw holding the treble hook come out. Anyone have a problem/solution for that?

When calm, Lucky Strike Sammy if you can afford them or get lucky on E-Bay. Spook good too. A little wind, Buzzbait. I like the twin blade models.
More noise and track true. Dont forget Flukes or Z-Too's. These can be deadly worked on top. Fish will hang on to them longer. |

Just re-reading this post. Can't believe I forgot the Smithwick Devil Horse. Heard about it from a friend and picked up a few. They are just fun to use and have nailed some nice fish with it.

I fish the Zara Spooks 90% of the time from spring through fall. Normally i'll throw the spook jr. It's a little smaller then the original and has a rattle which i'm convinced makes a difference. Additionally, i always replace the factory hooks with Mustad triple grip trebles. Those hooks have definitely helped my hook up ratio.
