I've tried a lot of different jigs but have never tried a tungston. I have found a couple lead jigs that I really like so I continue using them.
I didn't get into the tungston weights due to the cost and the fact that I break off a lot of baits. I flip baits into nasty areas and lose a lot of stuff. I recently tried the DB Flippin weights but lost 5 very quickly due to knot breakage and at $4.99 a pop it got real expensive. |

When jigging is it ok to tie directly on to a braid? or do you guys use a leader?

Do not be afraid to tye directly to any lure using braid. I will say that I use the Uni knot and so far since I started using the uni knot I have never had a jknot slipp.

Yeah, for jigging, tying directly to the line is fine. When I use braid for other things I always use a fluoro leader.
