I think Bob Sanders should have gotten the MVP. He was the reason they went to the superbowl in the first place....

It doesn't matter who helped them get there, what matters is who helped them the most to win the game.

But it, just like every other award (including pro-bowl), is a popularity contest, just like every other American sport. Therefore Peyton got it, just like everybody knew he would if the Colts won.

The quarterback or runningback usually gets all of the credit. No matter the offensive line that blocks for them. No matter the tight ends or receivers that have to catch the throws.

Who is the better quarterback? Peyton Manning, who throws to Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Dallas Clark, or someone like Drew Brees, who throws to....... exactly. Yet, Brees somehow put up just as many yards.

I'm not saying that Manning isn't a good quarterback. But the Colts were a great TEAM this year unlike other years, which is why they won the Superbowl. Without great receiving, great blocking, great running, and some decent defense in the playoffs, Peyton Manning couldn't have done it alone.

When the Steelers won the year before, you can hardly say Big Ben was the reason. More like The Bus, Willie Parker, Hines Ward, Troy Polamalu, Randle El, and GREAT TEAMWORK!

Conclusion: quarterbacks are overrated.

Well, football season is never over down here. Myself and 92,128 of my closest friends just packed into Bryant Denny Stadium for Alabama's spring scrimmage. They actually had to deny another 10 thousand or so fans entry into the stadium because it was filled past capacity. The fire marshall almost shut us down, lol.

Da Bears! I looked at the schedule and it looks rough but if Grossman can have a solid year they should have a chance.

Ted Ginn, Jr Brady Quinn ripe for the taking and the dadgum Dolphins pick Ted Ginn, Jr. What the crap were they thinking Yeah they need someone to return kicks since they got rid of Wes Welker, but QB was without a doubt their biggest need. Even if they do get Trent Green he only has 2 years left at the most and they pick Ted Freaking Ginn, Jr over Brady Quinn.

I was cussin' the Browns when they decided to take Joe Thomas with the #3 pick, but all in all I'm happy with the way our draft turned out. I have to admit that the Browns might have had to have had the best draft in the league. Lets see if we can follow through!!!

Go Browns!!!

yup. Had we not traded Joey, it would have been a decent choice. Whose gonna throw to him now, culpepper? Right now I'd be happy if daunte finishes the season.....whatever, we'll probly pull about a 8 win season....

I recieved somewhat of a spine injury the second to last day of 2-a-days, so that put me out of football this season. Leaving me open to watch all the games and what not.

State has a lot of problems. Coach Croom is a good guy, but he has misjudged what type of offense MSU needs to be successful in the SEC. He is running a bastardized west coast with too much running, and he has nowhere near the talent to make it work. He needs to run something gimmicky like vandy and uk, so that at least teams have to prepare and watch film - the vanila NFL stuff only works for teams like USC that have incredible talent.

That said, pitiful game last night, but I still watched every second. BTW, I am going to go ahead and pick Va tech to upset LSU next weekend, they didnt really impress me as much as the score indicated. They have some major flaws offensivly that VT can certainly exploit.

I hereby predict...
The only teams that could thwart USC's bid for another national championship are the Oregon Ducks and Beavers in late Oct. and early Nov. If that dosen't happen, USC will walk over any SEC team in a bowl game and claim the title.

If the Gators make it to the championship game with USC, the Gators will smash them into the ground. Just like they did with Ohio St. Tebow already has enough play time to come into the this season strong, and despite everyones beliefs, his throwing game will get the job done. I think in 2 years he'll be throwing like Leak was. Look for atleast 2 more National Titles before he is out, maybe not this season, but they will come.

Oh good grief. Oregon wouldnt have winning record in the SEC. We have been showing you left coasters up since 1920 when Bama was invited to the Rose bowl despite the objections of many western and yankee sportsman who said that southerners could not play football. We beat the unbeatable Washington Huskies that day 20-19, and the South has ruled college football ever since...and dont you forget it.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see, wtl. The best football program by far in the last several years is, unfortunatly, USC.
Oh and almost any Pac 10 team could compete and dominate the SEC, you guys suck. And don't you forget it.
