needham, first welcome to the site pal.
as for the trouble you are having. i don't remember where it is, but there is a thread on how to properly set the motor onhere somewhere. do oyu have a jack plate on oyur rig? if oyu do a search on here. i THINK there is a thread on how to measure the distance on your motor to set it up right. i can't even post pictures so i can't help oyu on that. but some one here can. i sure wish 1fastlaser was still around, he could tell you in a heartbeat. also the prop DOES have a lot to do with it. sorry i can't help oyu any more than this.

many thanks Bamabassman...... I will look around.
In fact I found this thread through a google search. I also found 1fastlaser post the same way. I reading his I would have to agree, I wish he was around too! I do not have a jact plate. I will browse around here some more to try to find it, and hopefully more will respond here, or perhaps I will start a new thread not to hijack. thanks for the welcome! |

try this link , these guys talk about it alittle. now on my 03 avalanche, i just talked to the guy i'm getting it from and he told me his had that issue also, so he took it to BPS and the propped it and also did something with the shape of the pad, when i talk to him latter in the week i will have him clarify that, but these guys do say something about the pad in this link, try this

thanks carroll,
I am a member there, and I must have missed that post. The hull was an issue in the early models, and even though I have an 2007 I dont think that is an issue but maybe I need to look just in case. I run a 21p tempest plus, and most I have seen have ran a 23p. I have a friend that has a 24p 4blade that I am going to try as well. thanks again, hoping to get a few more replies to get this figured out. |

needham It should had read 58mph on the GPS with full tank of gas. Sorry about that. I just never fixed it, but will now. Also my boat has never had any porpiosing issues. I've read about some early models that did though. I hope you fix yours! (I guess it being just an old post, it won't let me fix it. Once again sorry about that. |

Go for the 3 step ladder, you'll thank me later. Also, thanks for finding that, my plastic ladder ends are cracked and broken. Maybe they have replacement for them. If you look at the garelick link, they are metal, mine are like the bass pro link plastic. Last edited by bassfisher; 02-28-12 at 11:48 AM. |

Hey bassfisher, does the 3 step hang far enough in the water so it is easy for the wife and daughter to climb out of the water without killing them selves? also i only count 2 steps on your ladder. How is it bolted on your transom? thanks carroll out.
