Yeah I was responding to Jrobs post earlier, sorry for the confusion.
I am up for a Lucky Craft bait to the winner.

I doubt if either one of you ever see a LC bait, because who ever wins this series the other will prob hang themselves.

Hahahaha, my last act will be dropping the package in the mail box right before I jump in front of an oncoming semi.

Sorry Kory!!! The Amazing Mets of 1969 might be replaced by the Amazing Cardinals of 2011. Or should I say the Cardiac Cards.

I hope everyone is in their lazy boys with a cold beer getting ready to watch game 1. This should be a great series with lots of fireworks. Good luck to Kory and the Cardinals!
Let's go Rangers!!!

Man I hate having to work for a living. Nothing hurts quite like missing game 1 and 2 because of being at work. But I took vacation for next Wednesday and Thursday in hopes of seeing the Cardinals wrap it up.

I think if the Cards can win game 2 tonight, they will definately be in the driving seat. Even if they go back to Texas and loose 3 straight, which I don't see happening, they will have to come back to St Louis. I gotta feelin folks. This is the Redbirds year!

What a great pitchers duel in game 2 as they are now scoreless through 6 innings. I love watching games like this! I'm hoping it goes about 15 innings.

That was an exciting game! Pitching, defense, base running and situational hitting at their very best!

What a difference a day and a ball park make. That was about as thorough a butt kicking as you're ever going to see. Congratulations to the Cardinals for putting a thumping on us.

I am kind of a throw back as far as baseball fans go. I love pitching and defense so I honestly didn't really enjoy this game as much as you would imagine. I mean I am pumped that the Cardinals won and all, and if they have to score a lot of runs to do it then bring on the offense. But games 1 and 2 were more of the style of baseball that I like best. I knew when they went to Texas there was going to be some offensive shows put on and man they didn't disappoint one bit. Pitchers just can't get away with a single mistake in that park, and as bad as the starting pitching has been for both teams in the postseason it was bound to be a hitters dream and a pitchers nightmare. You know how I feel about Pujols and the money he is asking but Hombre flat crushed 3 balls tonight. Ozzie Guillen said it best when he said the stadium moved 2 feet when that home run to left center landed lol, it was a bomb. Man Pujols making that error that gave away game 2 his looking big right now, we could be going for the sweep tomorrow.

I agree with you, nobody wants to watch a blowout in a World Series game. There are so few games left and the stakes are so high, I want to enjoy every pitch. When the game gets out of hand so early, for either side, you sort of start to lose interest. Rangers Ballpark is definitely a hitters park but last night was a result of bad pitching, too many balls left up and down the middle of the plate. I don't know how many more balls I counted that were grooved that weren't hit. No matter how this series ends up, I hope the rest of the games are reasonable and give us a reason to be on pins and needles until the game is over. I know why you don't like Puljos and I certainly understand it, but he was a grown man last night!!

Wow, Derek Holland was just DOMINANT tonight! What an outstanding pitching performance, especially since SL had pounded the ball all over the park last night. Tied at two games apiece now...looking forward to a great 3 game series to determine the winner!

Holland was amazing tonight, we sure needed it too. He pitched 4 complete game shutouts during the season but also had a bunch of games where he didn't make it out of the 3rd. If he can ever get his mechanics and his nerves under control, he will be a really good pitcher. These two teams are really evenly matched, I think it will go to 7.

Glad to see Napoli got his karma after that crappie ref called Holliday safe in game 3...Which sort set the pace of the beating we took. These games have been awesome to watch!

Game 5 is now in the books and it was another INSTANT CLASSIC! Napoli is just a beast. Can't wait for Game 6 after the series shifts back to SL. Good stuff!

If the Cardinals don't stop stranding runners it's over.

That game was a complete disaster from the Cardinals point of view. 2 botched hit and runs, Holliday advancing on a throw and essentially taking the bat out of Berkman's hands, stranded runners, a infield single off the pitcher, inopportune strikeouts...what a weird game. It felt like it was in extra innings from about the 3rd on. I'm certainly not complaining about the outcome though. If we go on to win, Napoli will definitely be the MVP, what a season and Series he's had!

Flipped between MNF and the WS all evening. Got to love this time of year.
How do you hit a home run with one knee on the ground??? One inning made the difference.......Rangers with the 3-2 lead head back to St. Louis and $8.75 beers. |

Wow, another riveting game with Game 6 now headed to extra innings!
OK, Nelson Cruz is a great hitter, but that "attempt" to catch Freese's triple that tied the game was W-E-A-K! C'mon, dude! That's your chance to win the WORLD SERIES by catching that ball and you wuss out short of the wall?!?!?!?!!! That ball probably only hit 4 feet up on the wall and you were already playing deep to begin with. You have to make a way better effort than that when you can win the whole darn thing by snagging that ball! Last edited by WatterBoy; 10-28-11 at 01:01 AM. |
