Today's Totals:
1 peacock on fly 2 peacock on a zara spook 2 largemouth on a zara spook and Me I started the day with a nice peacock on the four weight. I went to the next spot and they started nailing the medium sized zara spook, but wouldn't get hooked. Thebassmaster123 got one of the medium sized fish out of the school. Then I left a little to much line out on a cast and hooked myself in the back of the head. I was frustrated that my favorite hat was cut up to get it out. After I got back from the Emergency Room, I nailed a little peacock on a different zara spook. Then I got this fish... I ended up getting two little largemouth before calling it a day. Nice fish everyone. Keep it up. Tight Lines! |

I have been lucky. They usually aren't around in December. It is usually cold, so they usually feed deep.

Best Day Ever!
Merry Christmas to me....
This day will never be matched no way no how. Even by my lakes standards. All on artificials First cast 9 1/2 lb lunker bass. NO KIDDING 2nd cast 10 lb lunker. Next 40 cast 33 fish Cast 41 another 9 1/2 lb lunker Next ten cast 5 fish Cast 47 another 9 1/2 pound lunker. These were definatly different fish as the were out of the water a bit for their photo shoot and I am sure not in a mood to bite again right away.. Totals 1 25 x 17 1 24.5 x 17 2 24x16 To many to count 14-20 inchers.... Oh ok one teaser .... Last edited by Capt_Jim; 12-25-06 at 08:42 AM. Reason: The above weights are off but the Lengths and girths are correct.. |

couple more pics
I can't risk having any one faint so I will release these slowly..
Here is one to bump me a little bit...... This is a 24 1/2 by 17 the tape shows 16.5 but you can see placement was bad wasting at least one half an inch.. |

I am off to Church now but will post a couple dozen more some time tommorow..
Wouldn't you know luck would have it that I somehow left my code and my nifty new tape measure (thanks for the tape Rick) at the house on my first two fish. The second being the biggest at 25 inches. I actually had to call my buddy The bateman to get the code while on the water so I could write it down while I was out there. (hence the code scribbled on yellow pad) I didnt want to stress the bass so I turned him loose with just a photo shoot of me and him. I will post all the pics probably tommorow. If you find yourself in Tampa area I do guide this lake. Capt JIm Out |

Today, I had a good day.
16 total 2 largemouths on zara spook 3 peacocks on zara spook 11 peaocock on fly First fish of the day. Does that Zara Spook look familar? It was in my head yesterday. I changed the hooks tied it on. Second fish was this nice sized peacock on the same Zara Spook. I went to another spot and got one largemouth on the Zara Spook. The next spot was loaded with fish! Top- 1 pound 13 ounces Bottom-2 pounds 5 ounces A triple header type catch! I noticed that the fish in the water would wait for the other that was being unhooked. In four casts, I landed these real quick. Another Double before I left. |

hmmm
In my excitement of the day and rush to get out of the house I noticed I did get my weights slightly off.
The tally on lenghts and girths were correct above; but the weight from Length squared x girth divided by 1200 gives me about a pound less per fish. While I was out there I was thinking my previous 24 x16.5 fish was nine pounds SO I figured these were a pound bigger. Well my 24x16.5 was only eight, making these still very respectable fish... Not to worry I will post some for real ten pounders soon Here are some more pics of the day... The first one was my hog prior to having my code. The second is the 24 incher Post (217) is my 24.5 incher and Post (212) the other 24 incher Here are a couple more from this morning.. Last edited by Capt_Jim; 12-24-06 at 10:33 PM. |

Nice fish Capt., Looks like I'm gonna be busy the next few days.
On a good note, Merry CHRISTmas to everyone! But for the bad one I have taken consideration to how Deacon and another forum member feel about a certain incident and have reviewed a decision. Islandflyfisher has been disqualified for unsportsmanlike behavior. Have a good night all! And the leader board will be updated ASAP. Christopher |

This is the most ridiculous thing ever! Some idiot thought it would be funny to play a trick on the new kid to this forum, and I end up getting punished for something that I didn't do! This is America right? Aren't people here innocent until proven guilty!? You make a completely new screen name to chat on this website, and somebody stole mine. Are any of you curious about how I learned about the chat? Chris told me after the incident happened. I tried to log in under my screen name half a dozen times before realizing that the screen names for the forum and the chat were different. I don't know who did it, but I hope that you are reading this. You are a gutless coward. You had no right to do that and let me take the heat for it. I was having fun with this tournament until you ruined it. Thanks to you I am disqualified, and Deacon quit. I cannot believe that you are so messed up mentally that you thought that your chat would be funny. It was sent to me by Chris, and I would just like to know what you were thinking.
I am sorry that some jerk put texasbasser and deacon through this, but why are you taking your anger and frustration out on me? Chris, before you disqualify me, get you facts straight. |

The only changes possible to be made to the descion already made is that of an IP check if possible by Kevin to your bassfishin.com forum username and that of the "islandflyfisher" IP on the chat.
The facts have been shown to what we can tell, should I post the evidence for all to see? Christopher Keene Last edited by Christopherkeene9; 12-25-06 at 02:23 PM. |
