Re: Who is ready for some football?
Reb, bummer about the Aggies. Man, they came unglued. I can relate, we have too in the past. At least your Aggies lost to a worthy team, unlike our loss to Notre Dame.
I hope the Vols start |Ricky Clauson next year. He played an exemplary game. Later, Charles |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Well football is almost over, for me it is. Still waiting on the USC vs. OK game- should be good. Cant wait to see what my GATORS have in store for the next year. Hopefully we can keep this as an ongoing thread. Wont even go with the NFL- watching COWBOYS blow it as I type this. Good luck to all those with new coaches and GOOD LUCK to the SEC- you'll need it-just a prediction. 8)

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Thanks, Charles-we are much better team than what showed up yesterday, but turning the ball over 3 times in the first quarter tends to make for a long day. On the bright side now I can concentrate on fishing again ;D!

Re: Who is ready for some football?
The way USC is playing right now, it appears that they may be revving up a dynasty.
Either that or Oklahoma is on the take. |

Dynasty might be a strong word. Theres no doubt who the better team is right now. I dont think it will continue much after this year. 8)

Re: Who is ready for some football?
to be honest i looked forward to the mich./texas game. man i can honestly say they did not disapoint. although it was the rose bowl and all. still when the horns came out throwing i was a bit suprised-they are known for there running game-it looked to be a tough fought defense game-my favorite kind-with the last second field goal at a tough angle even-that kicker was GOOD-

Re: Who is ready for some football?
What do you mean next season? Football season in the south never ends.....
You can turn to sports radio any time of the year down here and I garantee you they will be talking about Shula's predisposition to curse on the sideline or Tuberville's huge ears or whether or not Croyle can make it through 2005 without getting injured....there is recruiting, spring practice (we average 35K each year for our spring game), then a break where we make up rumors about the other team(s), then there is fall practice, two-a-days and then we get back into the regular season. Its the circle of life to these people down here. My state needs a new hobby. |

YAY, BYE BYE PACKERS! ;D
I don't like Green Bay that much as a team... look at 1997 to find out why. |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Manning could give the Pats some issues without their two starting cornerbacks... but we'll see.
The Patriots are a team with few superstars and well known for nothing, except their ability to somehow overcome and defeat the vast majority of opponents. They have got to be the most adaptable team out there now. Sure to be a good game, IMO. |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Colts vs. Patriots
IMO the deciding factor in this game will be the D-line. Can the Colts handle the rushing attack of Corey Dillon and put enough pressure on Brady to force him into mistakes? Can the Patriots D-line put enough pressure on Manning so he doesn't have time to pick apart their decemated secondary? If the Colts can score early and often, it should take Dillon out of the game as the Pats play catch-up. That leaves the Pats in a pass mode which means Dwight Freeney and the other Colts D-line can pin their ears back and smear Brady's face in the turf! I hope and pray it works out this way....GO COLTS! |
