Well crap....so it is. So much for that idea. No problem...I bet we can drop this reservation and get a different 3 bedroom cabin.

OK guys. I really hate to have to say this but unless something changes I don't see any way I'm going to be able to attend the event this year. I can't tell you how much I would like to be there with you guys, but finances this year are not good here and they are cutting our hours at work. But I wanted to let you know now so that you can make cabin assignments for everyone who is attending. I'll be with you in spirit for sure!

Man, that sucks, Keith....I really hate to hear that. I understand, though. Maybe something will change between now and then....there's still 6 months to go.
Hey, I got it....drive around the Walmart parking lot until you see someone close backing out. When they see you coming and stop, kinda-sorta wave them to come on out ahead of you. Then when they back up, slam into them, claim you never waved them to come out, and sue them because your neck hurts. That's gotta be $100,000 right there.....

Thats a great plan Daniel. But I'm not sure I can get 100,000.00 out of a shopper at WalMart, haha. Seriously guys, after reading the PM's and whats in this post I really appreciate the well wishes and what you had to say. Thanks again. If anything changes I will be sure to let you know.

Doc, I think I speak for Bruce as well when I say we'd be more than happy to let you sleep on the porch.

No, I never mentioned "his return".
Anyway Irvie it's all here: http://www.bassfishin.com/bassfishin...ad.php?t=29863 In case you were wondering when everyone else is arriving also, so I don't have to keep repeating myself. We are arriving, after a touturous 15 hour drive on Sunday evening May 6th. Staying all week, finish fishing on Sat the 12th, then an early morining departure Sunday the 13th arriving home, exhausted some time that evening. Print it out, put it in your wallet - sorry you have to disturb the moths - because GUARANTEED you won't remember. |

Bruce, wouldn't that graphic be more satisfying if he were bashing someone else's head against the wall?
On a side note...I think the cookout/fish fry this year is going to have to be on FRIDAY NIGHT. The reason for this is that checkout time on Sunday morning is at 9AM. Good grief that is early. I just think it would be nice if the people doing all the cooking don't have to be up Saturday night cleaning up because they have to get packed to leave as well. Thoughts?

I think Friday mid-AFTERNOON is even better. I'm not a fan of eating at 8 or 9 at night. If we eat at mid-afternoon, we can be cleaned up and get back on the water to catch the evening bite then come back in at dark for a beer and bullcrap session in a more relaxed setting.
I"m also more prone to the mid-day big meal due to having dockage available. No pulling the boat and dropping it back off the trailer to go back out. Having the docks available makes everything so much easier than we had at Wheeler, and all the difference in my being able to fish my day in it's usual pattern. Until the group meal on Friday or whenever, my days look like - fishing the morning, comming in around mid-day to eat and maybe a nap, then back out late afternoon and fish 'till about dark. I don't plan on fishing all day, comming in at dark, getting cleaned up and try and get something together for dinner. I would prefer the evening be completed with a shower, sandwich, a cold beer and a bullchit session. Not everyone does as I do, but that's how I'm planning on doing it. Wheeler forced me to change my pattern, having to put the boat back on the trailer in effect ended my fishing day. I usually came in between 3 and 4, loaded the boat, got cleaned up and then dinner and clean up that mess, or find a resturant to have dinner at. I just wasn't worth it, to me to launch the boat again after all that for a couple hours of fishing in the evening, so I missed almost all the evening fishing opportunity there, which won't happen at Dale. Others stayed out all day to get the evening fishing, and that made the "fish fry" at Wheeler a very late event something I'm not eager to repeat. That's my opinion. I can work around just about anything the majority or powers-that-be decide for that one evening. I'm there the entire week and one evening won't upset my apple cart, but a late Friday night meal is not my first choice. As for the 09:00 check out on Sunday - I should be in Virginia by then. As with Wheeler, I'm planning to have the boat and most of my gear packed Saturday night, so I can get up ready to roll early Sunday morning. |

I am going fishing this Saturday at Dale. I am trying to talk to Mr. Headrick face to face to set everything up.
