Winter Bassin
I've been going insane sitting around not being able to fish the past couple of weeks and decided to brave the weather and try my luck Saturday. It was about 27-29 degrees and snowing. I managed to catch 2 small frys. One came on a Strike King series 3 crankbait and the other came on a LC pointer. I was rigged up with 8 lb. P-Line CX Premium line on a Revo Premier. I was using a 6' medium power 2 piece rod that I've had since the beginning of time. This was probably one of the funnest fishing outings I've ever had. I was accompanied by my brother so during the lulls of not catching fish we took advantage of the snow and had a good old fashioned snowball fight! Here's pics of the 2 bass:

That's my favorite fishin hoodie. Only time I don't where it is when it's too hot in the summertime. Other than that, if you see me out fishing I'll have it on. It has definitely turned into a confidence booster. Now if I could only find a lure that does the same...

LOL...I would classify as semi-open. The pond I was fishing wasn't completely frozen over yet, but a few spots were solid. Like the spot I decided to throw my second catch back into. THUD ! That fish smacked solid ice and I had to use my rod handle to break it up so he could get back into the water. Woops. Both catches were hauled up through a pretty good layer of slush and snow so I'd say it will be completely frozen over in a week or 2.
