Befuddled By Mud..
Made it to Lake Hudson, aka "Lake Mudson" this AM for around three hours, to no avail, although we did have numerous hits, one lost at boat-side.
Now, "Mudson" is a muddy lake, very muddy. On a good day you can see around one foot down, although average is somewhere around 8-10". That, the low visibility, is my problem - it psyches me out. In my other home lake, Bird Lake, 15' visibility is average, and I seem to catch bass all the time there, but in Hudson, it's a different story. It seems like if I can't see what is down there, although I know what is if I use my electronics, I can't seem to catch fish. Does anybody else ever seem to have this problem? What do you do when a piece of water seems to "conquer" you? -Buzz |
