Nursery

Just about got the new nursery done at my daughters house, we changed their computer room into a new bedroom
for the baby that is due in March...My daughter wanted two light shades of tan with some pink stripes and then a chair rail put it....
Man I'm sore in all sorts of weird places...rofl taping off the room took about half a day.
She's expecting a baby girl and we've already seen the imaging that shows what the baby looks like and how its developing ...

Looks good JB,....I have mastered the art of messing things up soooo bad when asked to do that sort of work that I am NEVER asked again!!!! A very small part of me does wish I was a little better with that sort of thing, but the rest of me takes over.....

Hey JB when your done there I could use a little help down here my wife is wanting to do something similar to that in our den.... Of course with different colors! haha

I started with a 36 inch line from the floor and drew it on, then measured every 6 inches, followed by a 6 inch measurement on the bottom trim, then drew the line...it got confusing on what color so I ended up marking pink on every other rectangle..the brown had been painted the day before. Then it took 4 rolls of blue non sticking masking tape that was one inch. I put that on top of the 36 inch line, then on the insides of every other brown rectangle.
By the time I got done taping it off some had started to fall down, I corrected those and painted it with a 3 inch roller.
and LOL I know what Ya mean about the colors, but thats what my daughter wanted..I lighter shade of pink would have looked OK too.
I googled stripes in a baby room and the pink/tan combo must be a very popular theme, I wouldn't have ever thought about doing that color scheme, but if they are happy then I am too
I got the chair rail at a local Carter Lumber and eyeballed the miter cuts and did then with a power saw, a miter saw would have been lot easy and better.
