I'm am now a firm believer of stop and go!! ***New pics added***
Day One of Spinnerbait Fishing: spinner baits Stop and go works!
I'm am now a firm believer of stop and go with spinner baits!! When I went to the pond (one I have not gone to in a while it was lower than I've ever seen it! Lower than the other one you saw in my other thread, at least 8 foot down) and the spinner bait bite was nice! I caught 4 bass in about 2 hours btw. All on the spinner bait! I was not getting hit on any thing for the first hour though, I was kinda getting frustrated! I tried a spro frog, spinnerbait, buzzbait, spook, Everything! So I try the spinnerbait again. Nothing, I take on more cast before I pack up. I cast as far as I can, take two steps back for some reason? So I'm reeling a steady restive as I most the time do. And I feel a sting on my foot, I look down and I had stepped into some ants. I reach down a with the hand I was reeling with and get them off my foot so odviously my spinnerbait will stop. Than WAM-O!!! I get the biggest hit with spinner bait I've ever had! I set the hook! I bring in a nice solid 2-3lber (I was kinda disappointed when I got her in, I was think it would have been a lot bigger the way she hit)! Anyways, I have one hour before I have to hop on my bike and head home. I do the same thing the rest of the time, and bring in 3 nice large mouth, and my spotted bass (which btw fought harder than the large mouth)! All-in-all a very successful day........ I learned something! Just thought I pass on what I learned! ~SJ

when i hit a limb I'll go over it and then stop reeling, let it flutter down. I always mix it up on spinnerbaits or crankin, stop and go, or do movements with the rod to make it dart of stop or speed up, it pays off most of the time and keeps your brain active instead of just chunkin it out and reelin it in. like hours on a trap LOL

A creek that holds a lot of bass most of the time, the first place I caught I fish on a frog (no that one ^^) A gater, I played with it for a while! Well.... till I lost the jitter bug!

But have you seen a gater climb? lol Their are a few 15' dirt piles just a cast away I can climb up no prob. But you're right! And the top water frog action in the summer is steller! I pulled a 7lber out of their last year in late summer! Still by biggest bass out of that water!

Bassboss nice pics. I heard your not suppose to turn your back on water with gators in them when your down by the waters edge. anywho I'm like most of the other guys a stop and go retrieve is a most every now and then. I have a lot of success doing this on my lipless crankbaits.

No, not yet, I was gonna try a Rage Tail Anaconda 10" but never got around to it. I thought that since we had a front that a 10" bait would be less effective.
I really should start carrying both my poles! Sorry about the slow response, I was watching http://www.bassfishin.com/videos/fishing-player.php?v=1 this video on jigging, which is what I originally came their to do! ~SJ
