please help!!! im new
ok, Im 15 years old, and last year I just started really getting into fishing. I usually fish at our sportsmans club for trout, but I want to get into bass fishing. Umm, if someone could tell me what to use I would appreciate it. Id like to know what pound line to use, and what to use as bait. Also do I keep the line in the middle of the pond, or are bass bottom feeders? Please help, Thanks

hey buddy welcome to the forum. yea i suggest using 10 or 12lb test line for bass. For ur baits i would try using any plastic worm such as a yum dinger 5 inch texas rigged. Also try ribbon tail worms. easy to use and they catch fish. and bass arnt bottom feaders like catfish and carp. There diet manly consists of fish and other junk.

Best advice I can give you. Start looking back through the pages and pages of past posts. There are thousands of good tips and tricks for even a new fisherman. Then when you think you got a good understanding, start asking questions based on the specific needs of your area. Be as detailed as possible about the type of area you are going to fish. We are here to help.

Welcome to the forum!
Bassguy beat me to it-that site he linked to is a wealth of information. Take a look at that, then come on back and pick our brains. And remember, the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked, so ask away!
