Beginning in May, work the shallow or shallower warmer waters of the Bay. It's one of the top 5 Smallie areas, at least in the midwest. Depends when your going but take a few bucks along and stop at any baitshop for this years hottest lure or color but tubes always are good for smallies. Simple round jighead with three inch grub, maybe four inches even. Can use a three arm 'wisconsinma rig'. Found an article I thought may help..

The article is right on althought from 2010, it's basically the same today...I'm told. I haven't been there in years and don't forget about taking a day to visit Lambeau and Packer Hall of fame, assuming your staying in Green Bay.
Have fun, take camera and 'SLAY the SMALLMOUTH' !

We are going in Mid may to fish the spring Sturgeon Bay open derby
(gives us a great excuse to go) Do you live around that area and thanks a lot for the info on that area.
Ice is just leaving the waters here - 10 degrees this morning so that is not helping.

Dont forget to actually turn the reel handle every now and then to make it a legal retrieve.
Most do a drift and drag but one needs to turn the handle as well. The tube generally outdoes the jig.
Found what I was looking for on this end, snail mail so be about a month Im guessing.
Havnt a clue if it works on smallies just know largies and critters with teeth.
You can always claim you brought a secret weapon, and keep it tied on I caughtem all on dis.

Your complimentary DBBB for enrolling in the lilmule school of bassin, should arrive in time to test,as well as co ordinates to secret hole 178 and a couple of rock piles on Sinclair.

You will soon have the only double barrel bass buster in Canada.

Sorry out of 1 oz double barrel pike busters, fish it deep enough bet a walleye would also eat it,but being a southern bait it dont like ice.Works as is or tip hook with a kalin grub
