Senkos
I know that a lot of people called this there go to bait and others say they always have one tied on. They have never done me a lick of good. I was reading a fishing report for one of my lakes and everyone said that 5" in 30 foot were deadly right now. Well, after a little bit of googling, I came across this article.

Cissidyta, I almost always have a senko tied on. We fish a highly pressured lake and they seem to work when nothing else will.

Guess I'm the exception. 75% of my weightless stickbait fishing, which is done with Yumdingers instead of Senkos for the last few years, is during the spawn. The other 25% is fishing shallow (6 ft or less), and is my favorite plastic for skipping. Other then that I rarely tie one on.

I use senkos (really they are yumdingers or BPS version for the most part) but I always have one tied on as well. I can really skip them good up under docks and tree limbs, It is a good way to get into hard places.

I really like the one with the GREEN PUMPKIN/CHARTREUSE, and Pumpkins seed pearl. But all are good.

Yeah I think wallyworld carries them, If not I know Dicks, BPS, and Gander Mountain does. Now we could just get a BPS with in 20 miles of my house I would be happy . I would be broke but happy

My fishin' partner (Kennsandy) and I rely tooooooooo heavly on those senkos. It is my goal this season to start using other techs and lures for those days when the senkos come home empty. I bought some shakyhead jigs and some other jig heads to experiment with, also gonna throw more crankbaits. I do love them damn senkos, just hate to use them as a crutch....have to spread my wings a bit.....

I will be honest
Senkos are not on my list of go to baits... I have always been a ribbon tail worm fisherman, and the action they make. I will fish them wacky before I will Texas. I vow to make a btter effort this year to work and learn them better!!

This should keep you busy for a minute or two.
http://www.bassdozer.com/articles/senko-fishing.shtml I had all the confidence in the world in the senko.Like Yamamoto brand the best.Wavwworm is also a very good bait, especially the Bamboo stick. P N J |

I ALWAYS have a senko tied on. Most productive color for me is pumpkin with green and black flake. I've tried several "brands" and the Yamamoto's are the best IMHO. When I've tossed what was "supposed" to work that day and I'm skunked, I throw the Senko and always produce a couple of fish.

Bama, our Wally World does sell the Wave Worm Tiki Stiks, which are Senko knockoffs. I've had good luck with them, never have tried the official Senko brand, though.

For me, they are very lake specific. There are only a couple of lakes around here that they work on for me. I don't get many hits on the fall. Most of my hits are while dead sticking or let it set on the bottom for awhile and then barely lift the nose off the bottom and the fish will hit. I fish mine weightless T-rigged.
