I have a question, if we are going to use Cass' National weighting system, would we still be using the Regional Prize system too, wondering how that would be implemented?

I belive so. We of course have to work this out still. Also will have to have everyone post if they are in and if we are doing it for the year or bi-monthy?

I would say if the system works for weights for everyone we could do one contest for the year with region not mattering. (all in one pool). Then break down the regions like in the map and do the bi-monthy(of course with those who signed up for that period).

I removed the canadian providences from my sheet, but could add them again if need be.
I don't think I can upload a spreadsheet to here so I need some volunteers who want it e-mailed to them to mess around with and tell me if it works for them.
When we finally kick this off, we will either see if Kevin can put it on the site or I can link to a seperate site that can house it.

send me that i will be glad to chcek it out. i use excell often. cybermg703@yahoo.com

Okay guys, we need to decide if we are going to use a scale weight or a length and girth weight. I will modify the spreadsheet to whatever works. I always prefer the length and girth technique because scales are dependant on the spring or battery that can give faulty readings.

Alright guys, I agree on the percentage thing. We need to get a reliable list of state record fish together.

I do like the idea of submitted a lure for the "entry fee", but if we limit it to seven dollars, you'll have close to 5 bucks to ship it to who ever is going to keep track of them. I don't know if you want to do this or not. My other idea was ask Kevin for a t-shirt for the winner from each region, and then maybe I could throw in a few of my jigs for the grand prize winner. That way, the only shipping will be to get the prizes to the winners.

I'd go with length and grith, and use the tournament scale on the site for the weight. Then compare the weigh tot the state record.

Like I said, someone need to get a reliable list of state records. If you want to, you can email it to me at bigbassin144@aim.com. I'm volunteering to type the rules since I've got a basis for them. (mine form last year).

i like the spreadsheet idea that you came up with! i dont trust a scale 100% unless its my boga and they are not digital.

Ok, I think the length and grith is the best way of doing it.
Also agree with BigBass idea for prizes.

Hey guys , this all sounds good to me. I like the length and girth system for weighing mainly cause i dont have a digital scale but i'll go for what the majority goes for. I'm in for sure.

Well I would say paypal to an account that could then buy a BPS gift card? I don't want to be the one who holds it. Hmmm Kevin any help?

Could put an email or two out to see if any companies want to donate something.
