Hey guys I got everyone so far it looks like.I fished from 9:30 to 3:30 on the 10th and I got five. I was holding out on how I did so Reb would get the pictures up first. Heres my five.

16 by 11 inches
16 by 11 inches
17by12 inches
17by 13 inches
17 by 13 inches

Total weight is 13.845lbs

I started out with a buzzbait and I got one on that off a laydown in a shady spot. Then I flipped sweet beavers in watermellon to shady spots and that produced a few nice fish but as I had bright blue skies I switched to a one once jig with a spider grub trailor and I worked deeper brushpiles in about 8 feet of water to produce a 17 incher and I got one of the 16 inchers by doing that. I had a limit early but my real bites came around mid day. It wasn't till mid day that I got zeroed in on what the fish were doing. I knew a spot on the lake where there was a deep grassline and the wind happened to be blowing in on it and we had the sky getting a little more cloudy but it was still very bright so I decided to go to work with a Black and Blue jig and I got another 17 incher and I got my other 16 incher I was using a bearpaw jig trailor on the back. I decided since I had a limit to upsize my bait and I put a standard sweet beaver in watermellon onto the back of my black and blue jig and I caught the other 17 incher on this. I hit the money on the right area and bait because throughout the day I got about 14 keepers by our tournaments standards. I fished a 300 acre lake from the bank that I know pretty well. I fished with 15lb line the whole day and with bass pro rods and penn reels and extreme reels. I used black and Blue Lucke strike jigs with Hometown hand poured sweet beavers and winged worms.I wish I could have produced a five pounder for you guys but I couldn't get one. I got a good day because I like sunny days because I am a structure/ worm fisherman. I hope my weight holds out.

Yeah its a great truck. Got some Mossy Oak seat covers for it to lol. When I caught that 8 poundr out of there it was probably close if not the biggest fish in there. There are a ton of dinks in there and the fish are poor.

I don't know, with you catching that 8 pounder, and your dad catching this one, this close together, I'd venture to say there very well could be larger fish in there. It may appear its only dinks, but my professional......ok amatuer opinion is big fish are a lot more wary of line/hooks/lures than most think, along with different feeding patterns as well all making them that much harder to catch. If there are a lot of dinks in there, there would be a large amount of fry each spring/summer. This is an additional food source to large bass on top of any minnows, shiners, bluegills, frogs, lizards, bugs, and other native 'Bama creatures that a bass could eat. The biggest factor for big fish to get big, is they must have a good supply of food. If there are a ton of dinks, it may appear thats all there are by there aggressive nature. There's a small clear pond loaded with dinks not to far from hear, the good think about it, there is a nice bluff on the west side of the pond allowing you to stand 15 feet above the water while casting. From that vantage point, you can see just about every fish looking at your lure. Just as soon as the lure hits the water, you can typically see 2-4 fish swarming the area.

You can go down to the pond and catch 15 dinks in 2 or 3 hours. But the last time a fish over 5 pounds was caught out of that pond was 2 years ago. The owner fishes it regulaly or however you spell it. But you may be right. It might just be the fact that me and my dad are awsome fishers lol...........

Default 40 some fish, still under 10 lbs for jb n denny

Sorry for not posting this month, my former best friend died of a heart attack 2 weeks ago.
Now, on to the tournie, denny and me fished all afternoon and had about 15-20 bass apiece , all were 14-16 inchs but to skinny to win anything..I have all the pics, but they all look the same, just over 14 and skinny
All were caught on the spinner bait
they sure faught hard, just no weight,
Not only did we measure length and girth, but also had some brand new berkely scales for each documentation
heres dennys
14 1/2 x 9 1.2 lbs
15x9 1.4 .lbs
15x10 1.7 lbs
141/2 x 9 1.3lbs
15 x 10 1.7

I'd like to see what the formula would say for the length and girth, but denny and me both trust the new scales. Killer lake, just skinny fish, all deep cranking the spinnerbait
jb had
15x10 1.5lbs
14x9 1.4 lbs
14x9 1.5lbs
14x10 1.4lbs
15x9 1.5 lbs
All and all , even with the light weight, this was one of the best catching days in a long time, not only did every fish fight with lots of strenght, but the numbers of eager biters were great, tons of fish all day!
We had a paddle boat and all the pics of the bass caught looked so identical its not worth posting lol...but heres me n denny at the end of the day

I'll put them on later this afternoon, in that bright light ya can't even see the golden rule measurements, but IF ya have to see some "jenny craig" size bass, I'll get them on, plus after I got home the buttwipers, i mena Budweisers were calling and then some Miami Ink was on the tv...yada yada yada LOL

Zooker, me n denny challenge you to a spinnerbait day on the water, we'll wear your arse out son...rofl
