I'd find out if they have a return policy, I wouldn't want to get stuck with a rod I didn't like, but for $100. maybe not so bad.

Looks simular to a quarrow. I like these broutlaws as well, just havent ever heard of them. Look man for $100 bucks youre going to get a good rod no matter what you buy-its the 20-30 dollar ones that give you the most problems. I say go for it.

I will talk to the lady at the baitshop, and see if shes ever used them. I will not need to buy a rod in the near future from the internet, as my friends at the tackleshop sell me whatever rod I want, and half price. Talk to the people at your local tackleshop, and see if they can give you a good deal.

Any rod maker that does not use the same old same old (fugi handle that does not utilize a blank through design) is worth looking at. The weight is propably the largest difference between one rod and the next. I would look into how heavy it is before I paid for one.

Might want to look at http://texassidewinder.com/. Have never heard of a complaint about Kit's rods. Lot's of people on TFF (Texas Fishing Forum) use them and all are happy. Kit also will stand behind his rods. Have seen him post on TFF many thimes that if you give his rod a try and are not happy you can return it no questions asked.

Sidewinders are pretty sweet.
Second-- only to Laguna. Once you fish a Laguna, you will not go back.

Hey adamgambill, those laguna's better than a st croix, all star or g-loomis. Lighter? Stouter? I'm always willing to try a new rod!

If youre willing to shuck out the bank, a Laguna cannot be beat. Light, I suppose tough, super sensitive. They are made by two brothers that have fished the coast down here for a long time and have quite a calling. Check their website. WWW.lagunarods.com Pic like 29 or 30 is one of my cousins husbands twin brother with a monster trout. These guys use nothing but old chronarchs and laguna rods. I love the feel of these rods.

I hate do disagree but the Laguna is far superior to an all-star not to mention a StCroix, like I say once you fish one, you will settle for nothing else. I wont touch a loomis now. I have never felt anything like the Laguna wader special. Its heavy enough for 30+ pound reds, yet you can feel bream ticking your senko. I dont know whose blanks they use but I wouldnt mind building one myself on that specific blank.

So are they lighter or not? I have to have light...finesse fishing! I have to be able to hold a beer in one hand and the rod in the other all day

To this day I havent found a better rod OR warranty than a Airrus rod. If you havent tried one you would be ahead to give them a try. As always I still make the statement"Buy an airrus rod and ifn ya dont like it contact me and I will buy it"
