Pictures that speak Fishing!!
Show me your two favorite pictures that speak fishing to you…..don’t care what it is…..you holding your personal best, your favorite fishing spot, that new Nitro/Ranger you got or just a picture that when you look at speaks fishing to you…..and if you can say why those pictures/picture. Here are my two…… the picture of just me is just after the purchase of my house (with a shop) my new marriage and my new Frankenstein boat….good times. The one of me holding the redfish while not a bass shows me for what I am……..an angler….. rod in my mouth holding a nice fish standing in the water . Also I was in a house that I could just walk out to my backyard to fish…..something I always wanted.

I took this shot of my kids fishing for blue gill. I am not a photographer, but I think I took a really great shot!
I love the next one too. I took my dad fishing for salmon and he wound up catching to species of salmon in one day. His smile says it all.

This one is after a trip in 81 to a Lake so remote that the closest pig trail could only get you within 2-3 miles...the rest was dicey but worth the effort. Note the flasher, I thought I was all that and 2 bags of chips
This one is more contemporary and nothing special really, I just admired the tenacity of this little guy.

A nice Upper Iowa River smallie with the family!
Everytime I catch a fish she yells, "I wanna touch it's eyeball!" ...strange, but endearing. |

Here are a few that say fishin for me. Top left is John and Anthony at the get together at Wheeler in Alabama. I love that photo. Top right is a photo my wife shot of me in action, and the bottom photo is of Flint Lake at sunrise, my main fishing haunt.

Niiiiiiice!!
Wow I’m feeling these pictures and for me it says one thing. I know we will never stop taking trophy catches and I’ve seen some nice ones on some walls but for me when I look at some of my pictures it really takes me back to the moment. The picture of me with the rod in my mouth holding the red up reminds me of how awesome I felt wading in the water and catching that red! Although my ten doesn’t look like a ten the picture takes me back. When I look at the picture I remember what that temp felt like, the nothing special cast I made, what crank I was throwing, that 1st surge she made, and finally pulling her out of the water and thinking “finally…..this may be a ten” In short that picture takes me back to that exact moment I caught her.....and I love that!
