Damn Weatherman!
Been sitting here watching the sky and the weather report since 6am. Ol' mister crickets was calling for scattered t-storms and cloudy conditions all day. So I figured I'd wait out the storms and hit the water once they broke.
Every hour, I went back to the weatherman. And every hour, he said it was 'bout to hit any minute. So I waited... And I waited... And waited some more... Fast forward 14 hours - it hasn't rained a lick, and looks like it might have passed through, but I've missed at least 14 hours of 70-75 degree weather, a steady barometer, thick, cloudy skies, and 5-10 mph winds. Wonder how the fishing was today? |

Yeah, I hear you bama'. That would be my usual approach, but the little guy wanted to come with me for some bluegill fishing, so I didn't want to get him caught out in the storm. It's a little bit of a walk from the fishin' hole to the nearest parking spot at the lake.

well, don't know if this helps or not, but it don't have to be raining to get hit by lightning. Maybe it was your "lucky" destiny you didn't go.
