Perdictions for AOY in 2006
My perdictions for angler of the year is, Aaron Martins again, and may be even a classic victory. Marty Stone, KVD, and Greg Hachney will be in the running though. I'm rooting for Hachney though because he had a good season, and him winning AOY would make him be recognized as the great fisherman that he is.
Any other perdictions?? |

Rodman_Rob, I heard he's gonna catch that world record this year out of Rodman. KVD runner up.

LMAO.... Depending on what state it is awarded in, you may have to accept the trophy on my behalf and give a short speech and then moon the crowd .I 'm sorry if you thought my post was in reference to you Rodman Rob, it wasn't .I was just typing a general thought is all. F n F, I believe the mans name is Greg Hackney. I would ask Rebbasser about the correct spelling of the last name to be sure.I am willing to bet he can spell it without too much trouble. P N J

KVD will continue crushing opponents and sending them back to their day jobs. If he could make angler of the year in 2006 he would definately be the greatest angler. No debate.

It's a long season but, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Brent Chapman win. He been doing this a long time now and it's really all starting to come together for him. If not him then maybe Aaron Martins will win it again. I don't really care who win's but I'll be rooting against a particularly egotistical, arogant, obnoxious loudmouth angler who I personally feel is an afront and embarassment to the whole bass fishing community...not to name names...but then again...I probably don't need to at this point. The description sais it all.

Well whoever wins I will say this. Whoever is able to obatin enough points to reach AOY is a great accomplishement. ANYONE at any given time could reach this status. Hell I have been on a winning streak before and could catch bass outta a bathtub. All depends on whos hot and whos not. IMHO. The one person that I have always admired god rest his soul was Brian Kecher. Now that was a accomplishment to top them all. To work and win from the bottom of the stack so to speak was unbeleivable.

yeah and to have it last only a year. I was sad to see that happen to him. I had totally forgotten (blush) about all that untill. He wasn't a pro even a whole year. When was that '95 '94 '96? I don't remember exactly. Remember it was Eagle airlines he was flying though when the plane went down.

Bryan Kerchel won the classic in Aug, '94. Every bass I caught the following year was "for Bryan". I was glad to see him mentioned quite a few times on ESPN's Bass Saturdays. He is my angling hero. When they featured him during either the Greatest Angler Debate or Basscenter, I forget, I think my daughter finally understood why I am obsessed with the sport. She has become much more willing to fish with me since. I even got her kissing the bass before releasing them.
