Top 12 bass in 2012
This is what I have to resort to posting now since my fishing season is over. It was another fantastic year of fishing at our cabin and also a few times in Iowa with my dad! Here is a rundown of my 12 biggest bass this year...
#12 - Bass opener Saturday - caught this one in the no wake zone channel right in front of our cabin #11 - Getting September off to a good start on our cabin lake #10 - Starting off a great weekend of late September fishing on our cabin lake #9 - Nice doubleheader with my dad while fishing in Iowa #8 - Fishing with my dad in Iowa, the first bass of my life that I caught in March #7 - Fantastic morning of fishing with a buddy on our cabin lake #6 - Mid-September fishing on our cabin lake produced some great Smallies #5 - Koppers Live Target Hollow Body Field Mouse was a killer in Iowa while fishing with my dad during late May #4 - Caught 'em all weekend long in Iowa on the Field Mouse... #3 - Early solo outing in mid-September on our cabin lake produced another solid Smallie, my second best all-time #2 - My fourth 4-pounder of the weekend in Iowa got my season off to a start way better than I ever dreamed of... #1 - My all-time best Smallie tried to destroy my Pop-R on our cabin lake. Caught while fishing with 3 others, including Kaye, who netted this one. |

Nice fish, Dean especially that last smallie. I recently bought a couple of the Koppers mouse, mainly for the Potomac snakeheads, but you're proof the bass like them too. Good year, thanks for sharing.

The fish you catch always look so thick and healthy, I'm sure they pull like crazy too!
It makes me a little sad to read that March is the earliest in the year you've ever caught a bass? Or just never in the month of March? I try to make catching a bass on the first day of the year my mission every year A friend of mine lives on Minnetonka and sometimes makes the voyage down to KC and we hit the power plant lakes together like we used to when he lived down here. If you ever make it down around KC in the winter I'd be more than willing to try to help you get a bass in January or February or any other time of year for that matter. |

Congratulations on a fabulous year. You are truly blessed to have the opportunity to fish so often and in such a great place. I would be thrilled with any one of those fish in a year!! Hope next year is as good to you or better.
