Default Low quantity..high quality

Made the first cast this morning 30 min before official sunrise. 1/8 oz SK Bitsy Bug out past a gnarly tackle eating brushpile in 18-20 ft of water. Steady light rain falling, zero wind. Set the rod down as soon as the jig hit the water (rarely get a deadstick hit on a jig)turn around, stand up, unzip to make water and as soon as the flow begins I see my rod heading for the gunwale with a quickness. What you gonna do? lose a $300+ rig? or make the frantic cat-like lunge? I of course picked the latter and managed to grab the handle at the last sec all the while peeing all over myself, the boat and all my tackle. Result? a solid 4+ lber that set the tone for the rest of the morning. Only caught 15-20 but not a dink in the bunch. The first two pics are of the deadstick jig fish, (that's not all rain on the Lowrance) the other one is just a typical fish for this lake and today. Most fish came on either a buzz or spinner.Water temps steady at 74. Stayed cloudy/drizzly all morning! I love mornings like that, seems to make dawn last and last.

Ken, I'm glad for you that your deadstick incident worked out in your favor and you had a successful day of fishing.

I got to say though, if peeing on yourself was the worst thing that happened, you must be living right. Because as you well know, the outcome could have been a whole heck of a lot more, not in your favor.

Hahahaha, sounds like you had too many rods out at one time. Nice day of fishing! I would pee on myself too to keep a Cumulus and CI4 from going overboard. I realize you probably weren't using a spinning rod with a jig but still...

That is just too funny. Thanks for the laugh. Sounds like you had a good day after that unfortunate beginning!

Good eye. I keep that outfit on deck most days...always fun to fight a good fish on 6 lb test! The jig rig was an E7 and a Falcon Cara MG.

Today was what I call a revenge trip. I doubt I'm the only one that puts all fishing trips in one of three columns.
Recon....exploring new water
Revenge...going back to a lake to exact vengence for a bad day
Encore.....going back to a lake to repeat the glory

Fish looks 'pissed off' not 'pissed on'!

Man it was nice NOT hearing about someone else loosing a rig!

Thats a good day of fishin for sure! But the best part was not loosing your outfit. That seems to be an issue a lot around here the past year! Dead sticking a jig? Gonna have to try that. Maybe you discovered something. lol My younger brither once caught a fish on a jig that was used suspended deadsticking with a bobber.
