Default Keep me in your thoughts please

I just lost my cat today to liver disease. I'd had her for about 12 years, she was my best friend. Several women came and went but Chloe was always there. She died in my arms about an hour ago. Now I have to go bury her. I'm going to miss her so much.

Rest In Peace My Sweet Chloe.

Sorry to hear that Joe. I've had to say goodby to two dogs in recent years and I know how that just hurts like hell. My thoughts are with you pal.

My sympathies, we put one of ours down 3 weeks ago due to cancer. It was really a catch 22, we held her while she was euthanized. Holding her, giving her comfort and minimizing her fear made me feel as if I betrayed her trust on one hand, but knowing we were doing what was best for her, ending her suffering and allowing her to pass peacefully on the other. It's not an easy thing to deal with.

Thanks for the kind words, it really means a lot. We were really very fortunate. She started acting sick on Sunday, I took her in on Tuesday and she passed on Thursday. I'm so glad that she didn't suffer long and I didn't have to take her back to the vet for euthanasia. She always got really scared during trips to the vet, I didn't want her last experience to be of that. She was with me, in her home and very peaceful.

Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers, it's so comforting to know I have you guys. Pets become such a huge part of your life so quickly. My home is going to be really lonely without her. I buried her under a big oak tree in my parent's backyard, I can walk outside and say hi to her anytime I want. She was a good girl and I'm so thankful that I got to be a part of her life.

Sorry to hear that Joe. I lost my Seal Point Himalayan Max at 20 years and 2 months and his girlfriend Minzie a couple months before him at 18 and a half years old. They definately do become part of your family.

Pets are definitely part of the family. I'm sorry for your loss, Joe. I know you'll miss her, but thankfully she didn't suffer.

I am So Sorry for your loss, My Wife and I have four cats and one dog, They become just like children.
We have a cat that looks just like your Chloe, She came up on our porch about five winters ago in Feb and very heavy with Kittens, 9 degrees above zero, naturally we took her in. couple days later she had six kittens. By the end of the day 5 had died. She didn't have any milk. One survived by bottle feeding by my wife and he died after 4 thousand vet bill last Nov..

So I know how you are feeling and we will Pray for you. Give it some time and I encourage you to goto your local shelter and give another deserving animal a home.

People who do not have animals miss so much in life.

God Bless and again sorry for your loss.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's been a really tough weekend, I keep expecting to see her come walking up or laying in one of her favorite spots. I will definitely get another kitty, probably sooner vs later. My life and home are empty without a little furry friend to keep me company.

Joe, sorry for your loss. Wish I could say something to help ease the pain, but only time will do that. Hang in there.
