G. Loomis Rod -- Help

All -- A while back I picked up a G. Loomis rod really cheep - like $40.00 at Dicks Sporting on super clearance.

It has rails that slid up and down without any obvious way to secure them. How should these type of rails work so my reel does not fall off?

maybe thats why it was on on super clearance

Wrap some electrical tape around the seat of the reel.

bassinbob -- That may be the trick.

senko -- It doesn't look like anything is broken and similar rods not on clearance were the same way.

over the holiday weekend when I get to my cabin, I will take a photo of what I'm talking about.

Thats what I was thinking (like Omaha). Look alikes are very convincing to the eye. They used to sell All-Star rods at Wal-Mart for $60.00. The only problem was that they were made in China !
