I thought you got TWO new toys...

Nice pistol, that black polymer frame and stainless slide is quite popular in several brands. 9mm is a nice all around pistol and ammo seems easy to get, unlike other calibers. 16 round clip - wow, adds some weight for cc, but that's a personal choice. I'm not really sold on the DOA (I think that's "double only action" but it may be a Freudian slip and mean "dead on arrival" ), I'm getting used to it in my little .380 Bodyguard, but I'm spoiled by the hammer pistols when snapping off a full clip.

Congrats on the new pistol. I've always had good experiences with S&W.

So, which one did you get. All black or black & stainless?

I prefer the stainless myself, but a lot of guys like the all black.

STAINLESS. i look at the s7w 380 was just too small for my hands i really like the way this one feels in my hand. shots great and not alot of recoil. my son in law has a ruger 9mm kicks like a mule. really like the 16 round clip with my shakes and eyes i figure one out of 16 i shousd hit somethig

Your build no pun intended permits a wider and larger double stack grip for ccw,dao is more or less a cc weapon for close range as trigger pull longer and stronger generally also much safer in many ways less accidental discharges.Nice pick.
I carry a PA 63 9 x 18 mak,da first shot very strong long pull,sa thereafter,in that respect each to his or her own.Friend of mine owns a db9 lil bugger stings to shoot. That 9x19 is sweet being a tad larger, again nice pick.
