Smile second trip on guntersville lake

ok guys. went fiching today like i said i would. and............ horrible. the darn wind was about 20 mph. almost white capping. couldn't hold da boat in one place. but i did catch a 30 pound carp!!! ugh. and i caught 1 stripper, very small, minnow like, lol. 4 small bass all large mouth. they didn't seem to be ready to spawn yet. still waiting i guess. used a bill dance fat doe? can't remember the name right now. kinda tired from fighting the boat for 6 hours, lol. but i did get out and fish. was a great ride i tell ya. and wtl good thing you couldn't come my friend. i still think it will be a month or so till they really start hitting here. gotta warm up a bit more. water temp is still 54 degrees or so. will keep ya'll posted. and i will try again next saturday. going to moms tomorrow for easter dinner and visit family. happy easter everyone!! and remember why we celebrate this day.
