Default Anyone ID this rod?

Found this shufflin through the garage and was interested. Looks different so i thought i'd post it and see if anyone could tell me what it is. I know its made by St Croix but i cant find anymore identifiers on it to specify what year it was made in or even what model. Feels to be made of glass, but IDK.

Definitely a St Croix. But nothing like the rod Chuckles had.

Interesting looking rod though.

I think the point was to keep the line coming off of the reel at the same height as the guides, I remember reading about it on a rod building website. I did find a pic of another rod with a similar reel seat. The problem is the blank doesn't run all the way through the grip.

That's what my first impression was about it.

Back then when "farbenglass" was the ticket St Croix produced that rod in two styles. Pistol grip and double grip.

I had a Daisey Heddon rod just like it.. It palmed perfect with a Lews..

BTW it is worth some money now..
