What are the odds, 2 HAWGS in 1 week......with a twist
I went fishing last Sunday and caught a nice little hawg. Because the weeds were so thick, I had to wade past the weed line to get to open water to revive/release the fish. After 30 minutes, she still wanted to float. Since there was nothing else I could do I figured I'd leave her and let nature do her thing. For catching a 10 pounder and unsure if she lived, I was pretty upset.
Today I got off work early and decided to hit the same little pond. I paddled out to the area where I caught the first hawg and threw the same crankbait I caught the previous hawg on. Very first cast I get a bite and instantly knew I had something big. Sure enough, it appears I caught the same hawg on the same lure in the same spot, only 5 days apart. Although it may just be a coincidence that I caught a fish with the same measurements, but I think not. I don't know whats better, catching this fish twice, or getting hung up on a lucky craft lure that I lost a month before.

lol, sure enough you did. I'll admit, even after you said she'd make it, I was still VERY skeptical and I'll admit, I was thinking to myself, "He had no idea what she looked like floating, she didn't make it, he's just trying to be nice and cheer me up". After trying to revive her for 30 minutes, and everytime I let her go, she would just float for awhile, I'd grab again and go back to reviving, again and again and again. After 30 minutes of that I really thought that she was done for. You don't know how happy I was (well maybe you do) after hooking up with her the 2nd time. I guess she was so thankful for me taking the extra effort of wading past the weeds and reviving for 30 minutes that she, or karma decided to reward me a 2nd time. Now that the full moon is over, I might have to go back there tomorrow and catch her post spawn.
