Kinetic PT vs Accurist PT (Quantum)
Which one should I get? Will mainly being either Pitching, Texas rigged, and jigs. Will do some Carolina, but not much really. I know I want the 7:0:1 Gears, just stuck between the two.

If price is no factor, then get the Kinetic. It's higher up in quantum line up so it's most likely a better reel. It also has more bearing "only in the most critical points" so it oughta be smoother. How ever then Accurist has the flipping switch, so if that's real important to you, more then smoothness, then I Accurist would seem to fit your bill better.

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I have a 3 yr old Bill Dance, a Shaw Grigsby, and the Accurist and there’s not much difference in smoothness between them all. I’ve tried the Kinetic, Burst and honestly, not much difference at all in any of them.

Most reels have had bearings in "critical" areas for some time now. Bearing counts are less important than quality bearings. I'd say pick the reel with the features that are important to you and feels good in your hand.

I have 8 Accurist PT's. Great reel. Smooth, trouble free. The kenetic is new to their line up. Have no experience with it. Do know that it is on a smaller frame. You may want to handle both before purchasing.
