Kistler Micro Guides?
What do you guys think of these (besides that they look really weird)? Supposedly reduced weight of the rod by a quarter ounce.

Custom rod builders have been using them for a while. From what I hear there is not much downside to them. The rod flexes more evenly due to the small foot and weight is reduced. I would think they would be for casting only though.

I don't know. wouldn't smaller guides have more drag on the line, thus shorter casts? but then you might have more whip in the stick. hmmm I don't know. food for thought though.
