Playing with the brim
Every once and a while I put down the bass rod and pick up the UL gear for some brim action. Ounce for ounce few fish are as aggressive or fight harder. I love these little guys!

You need to have a disclaimer, something like "no ducks were harmed in the production of these pictures" lol.
Seriously glad you had a good time and caught some gills. They really are a pretty fish. |

I think we all need to rewing once in a while and go back to where we started fishing. I guess we all started with bluegills. Most everyone I know did. Good luck fishing no matter what U fish for.

Makes me glad to have my boys to revisit the ole days every now and then and tie in to some bluegill. They are the meanest, ounce for ounce to anything I have ever caught.

A 4lb gill is a big fish. Got to fish Santee Cooper years ago and caught some big gills and sunfish. Record sunfish was caught there not long before we fished it. Saw a mount of a 2-15 sunnie on the tackle shop wall and it was huge.
