cool weather
what kind of baits to bass prefer when its cool outside...and do i need to slow down or speed up presentations. Thanks

imo,its not the tempature of the outside air,its the temp of the water,as it will take some time to cool a lake down.unless you have a strong coldfront,which most of the times shutdowns the fish.the murkier the water,the the slower it cools down,the particles in the water hod and keep the heat,so try fishing stained water if there not biting in clear.

In this instance you have to have the fish tell you. During the Fall the fishing can be killer or slim. Slow work's some days while fast is the ticket others. The fish will eat voraciously at times, them nothing for awhile. Look for periods of steady weather, or low fronts approaching. But as I always state fish whenever you can. During the slow periods, a craw style of bait or PNJ, or fluke worked slowly to almost deadsticking it. When they are active spinners, cranks, or buzzbaits work well for me.
