Default Boston has got some bass

Mostly convicts but still fun from the beach and rocks.

Going back tonight to toss some big spooks and poppers out of Gloucester.

Got so lost last night I only got 1/2 hr to fish.

But tonight will be different. I will get pics if possible.

I decided to walk in the ocean/fish and see the town of Gloucester/Rockport this evening. I drove out there and the water was ice cold. The views where spectacular and the people frendly. My feet are still cold.
This is as you enter the town.

After a bit I came to the town beach.
Walked in the water and took three photos right center and left. Nice homes overlooking the ocean.

I then drove up to Rockport area and slipped back behind Inns and some very odd houses to find the twin light houses of Thacher Island. Interesting place as it has seen Capt John Smith land there in 1614. Has a campground on it too.
But my shot was a little obscured.

Turns out I was shooting the shot from Loblolly Cove. A site you may have seen in some old movies..

From there I went looking for dinner and found this really nice restaurant/inn around Cape Ann called the Seaward Inn. But they looked empty so I went down the hill and had a lobster roll and some frozen custard. Yes the sign said frozen custard. It tasted just like ice cream because it was. It was an old sign the owner said.
No fish where harmed on this adventure.

3d it is funny you should ask. In Va at my house in Gloucester it pro-nouned Glou-sester.

In Mass/Boston area it is pronouned Glousta.

I met a man who was from South America Salvador and lived in Boston area most of his life. I could not understand about 88% of his lingo.

Interesting area.

Excellent. Bama you get extra credit .

For those of you who wish to join in, here are two more......Worchester and Falmouth. Good Luck! No cheating from the guys from NY, Conn, NH, Vt, Ma or Me.

I'm heading up to Cape Cod at the end of June and then making a quick trip up to Maine. I'll do some fishing for bluefish and summer fluke in the ocean and maybe get out with my father and bass fish a little on one of the small lakes on the Cape. A buddy of mine has a house on a lake in Maine and he's been bragging about all the fish he catches and I've been invited up to fish. Should be a good time.
