New Combo
Since the last few years I became a froggin addict, I picked up a frog rod and reel set-up for just that FROGGIN, lookin forward to getting good froggin weather to pull some bass out of the slop. Picked up the new Shimano Curado E and a heavy action 7 ft Kistler rod, also trying out a few hollow body frogs like the River2Sea and Spro's, always used the Snag-Proof Bobby's perfect frog in the past but figure to try others out. Of course braid is the line of choice, any additions I should add to the frog choices?

Sounds like a great set up to me! What Gear ratio is the reel? And make sure you got some 40+lb braid on there, I like 50-60 best though!
Have fun!

I am using a 7:1 Curado with a Castaway 6'6" M Worm rod for my frogging. I fish out of a 12' boat, so I haven't tried any 7'ers yet. I have been using the Sufix 30 lb braid half spooled on top of mono. The thing will cast a mile. All I have been using lately are the Spro's and the Zoom horny toads. The frogging is an addiction, I know that fo' sho'.

For buzz type frogs, I'm with Bubba on the horny toads, but I also like the RageTail toads. They've got bigger feet, so they make more noise and splash on the retrieve. For popper type frogs, the Spro is a good choice.
