Default I've got bass thumb! LOL

I took the day off today and I'm glad I did. I had a hunch that the fish would be biting and I was right. I caught a total of 8 largemouth bass this morning ranging in size from my personal best of 2011 at 20": a nice 17": a couple of 16": and the remainder were averaging 14".

I've been catching all of these bass lately with the wacky rigged senko. Most of my bites have been during the fall of the bait or shortly after the bait hits the bottom. After targeting a potential spot, I'll let the bait fall to the bottom and let it sit for a short period. I will then twitch it a few times, and if nothing, I'll retrieve the bait and cast to a new spot. This allows me to maximize my time and to cover alot of water this way.

Here are a few pics of the fish I caught yesterday and today.

Heyyyy, now those are some sweet lookin bass my friend! I'm glad your day off was successful. I have to get back to using Senko's. I got away from them for the past couple years and can't say why. They always did fairly well for me. Nobass gave me a pack to try at the Alabama get together that look really good. Gonna give those a try my next outting.

Nice haul Woody! It is always good to go on a hunch. I would rather go to find they weren't biting, then to hang around work and wonder what might have been hahahaha.

Way to go Mark! That's a great fish, and it looks like you're giving that Supreme XT and the Crucial a good workout.

Nice fish. A little fine sandpaper and neosporin will take care of that thumb issue.

Awesome fish, Mark -- way to go! I'm happy to say that I had a good case of BT this weekend also.

You don't have to answer this if it will be giving out too much info, but if you want to share, what size and color senko were you using? I use them wacky-rigged quite often also.

WB, I've been using the 5 inch Watermelon Black/Red Flake Senkos. Water condition has been stained with about 6-8 inches of clarity.

Too funny, as that is actually my favorite color, and I throw both the 5" and 7" of it. I also like the 5" version of Watermelon with Green/Red flakes, Purple Pearl with Blue flakes, and Green Pumpkin with Red flakes. Thanks for sharing the detailed info! Looking forward to the pics from your next outing. . .
